The Cornwall Trade & Investment (CTI) project is a European Regional Development Funded project and has three main objectives: helping businesses from the UK and international markets to establish a base in Cornwall; supporting Cornwall businesses to export their goods and services; and increasing the number of jobs in Cornwall through our support to businesses.

37 hours per week
Fixed-term contract running until 31st March 2023
Predominately remote working with flexible office space in Pool, Redruth
Occasional international travel
Starting salary of £35,615 per annum
We’re looking for a confident and business-minded Trade & Investment Manager to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of an ambitious project promoting Cornwall as the place to do business.
As Trade & Investment Manager, you’ll promote Cornwall & IoS as a business destination of choice to companies seeking to set up in Cornwall and exploit UK, European and international markets. You will demonstrate an understanding of, or be willing to learn about, business growth, development and expansion enablers across UK and international markets.
Excellent account management and relationship building skills are crucial to this role. We’re looking for someone who enjoys networking, who has an interest in working with senior level business leaders, is willing to take part in occasional international travel, and who can help promote Cornwall as a credible location for businesses.
Our Trade & Investment Manager will also provide support to Cornwall based businesses – helping them identify new export markets both nationally and internationally – and will be responsible for identifying and promoting export opportunities alongside successfully recruiting cohorts of businesses for trade missions.
