Trade without Travel: Calling healthtech businesses to join our latest trade mission to Ireland

We are looking for healthtech businesses who want to expand their horizons – all the way across the Celtic sea. Ireland is a globally recognised centre of excellence in health technology, and is home to over 300 companies, employing 32.000 people. With this in mind we want to explore the potential Cornwall’s businesses have to collaborate with, and export to, this market so we have arranged a trade mission in collaboration with our partners, OCO Global as part of our trade without travel programme.

The mission will predominantly be delivered by OCO’s office in Belfast and is designed to support Cornwall based SME’s who are ready to start their export journey, and particularly those businesses who may already have been seeking to target new markets with easier access to Europe. Businesses attending this mission will find themselves better prepared to access this new market with a common language, rules and regulations and goals.

Director of Digital Transformation at HSE Ireland – Martin Curley.
Irish start-up – Wellola about their experience growing in the UK and Ireland, plus more to be confirmed.

What to expect?

The mission will be targeted and bespoke, supporting circa 8 – 10 businesses in each cohort. It will include:

A virtual trade workshop – hosted in collaboration with OCO Global 4th & 5th August 2021.
The workshop will cover key areas businesses will need to be aware of in terms of entering the market, in addition to giving businesses the opportunity to gain new market contacts such as potential buyers and customers in Ireland.
Market penetration activity – This will include marketing support & customer identification. Following the virtual workshop, businesses will be supported on a closer 1-2-1 basis to assist them in gaining traction in the target export market.
On-going aftercare. CTI will seek to continually support businesses on their export journey, facilitating introductions and identifying business opportunities on an on-going basis.
