Last month the marine renewables experts from Chile’s MERIC (Marine Energy Research and Innovation Centre) visited Cornwall to learn more about the region’s long-established marine sector.
Over two days the Cornwall Trade and Investment team provided Nathalie Almonacid and Dernis Mediavilla with introductions to key organisations at all stages of the supply chain demonstrating the breadth of Cornwall’s offering and the strength of collaboration that happens within the region’s marine sector.
The trip was a fantastic opportunity to build on the existing relationship that Cornwall Trade and Investment has with MERIC, and we will continue to explore opportunities for future collaboration and continued learning between Cornwall and Chile as the sector develops.
