Cornwall Trade and Investment are excited to announce that we’re looking for a talented Business Engagement Manager to join our team. As the Inward Investment function of the Cornwall Development Company, we’re a forward-thinking project, dedicated to providing the best support, knowledge and expertise that’s needed for businesses to make the decision to locate their business in Cornwall.
Our team offer tailored support dependent on individual needs; ranging from introductions to like-minded peers, all the way through to help in finding the right premises. Our bespoke support packages help burgeoning businesses make the most of their move to the dynamic region of Cornwall.
Cornwall Trade and Investment is a project funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and Cornwall Council, hosted by Cornwall Development Company.
As a Business Engagement Manager, you would be expected to represent and promote Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly as the flourishing business destination that they are to potential inward investors. With an understanding of the global market and economic trends, you’d not only be responsible for developing and managing new and existing investors, businesses and relevant Department for International Trade (DIT) personnel, but you’d need to show an awareness of national developments regarding inward investment and in turn, help develop effective marketing plans.
Along with being a region renowned for its beautiful beaches and inspiring landscapes, underneath its’ picturesque exterior belies the tech industry revolution, propelled by ambitious, visionary businesses and supreme connectivity. Not only will this role include global travel, but you’ll have the chance to meet innovative businesses that strive to make a difference around the world, and you’ll be collaborating with a close team of vibrant, highly motivated and passionate people, in one of the most beautiful locations in the UK.
Educated to degree level and having a strong interest and understanding of Creativetech and Healthtech smart specialisation sectors, you’ll need to show a strong knowledge of inward investment drivers, as well as current business issues. We’re looking for someone who’s experienced in developing B2B brand marketing strategies and can demonstrate a successful track record of client management. Our new team member should also have excellent communication, report writing and presentation skills, as well as enhanced networking and problem-solving abilities.
Salary starts at £34,148, progressing to £39,017 subject to performance, based on a 37 hour working week.
