Are you an innovator, an entrepreneur, a developer or a data scientist? Are you interested in space and technology and have a passion to explore and make a difference? If so, we’d like to hear from you.
An increasing amount of industries are now looking to space technology and satellite data to enhance their knowledge and expertise and explore the untapped potential that space technology can offer. From organisations in New Zealand counting albatrosses from space, to monitoring public health across the globe, through to collating data for improving agricultural efficiencies – there’s a wealth of opportunities for using space technology.
The space sector is a fast-moving, emerging market and is one of the fastest growing sectors in the UK. The South West Centre of Excellence in Satellite Applications, along with their partner organisations SETsquared and Goonhilly Earth Station, have launched the SpaceTech business incubation programme to provide a unique opportunity for innovative, dynamic start-ups to undergo business incubation.
The SpaceTech programme, part funded by the UK Space Agency, is currently open for applications via the f6S website at spacetechSW2017. Start-ups and entrepreneurs who are interested in exploring space technology are invited to apply for the opportunity to fast-track their ideas within a funded start-up accelerator providing expert support for innovators utilising satellite data and technology.
“Developing businesses often find it hard to connect across boundaries and through a collaboration of university and business partnership, we aim to facilitate interactions bringing them together to stimulate ingenuity, knowledge and innovation, which will enable them to flourish” Cathrine Armour, Centre Director, South West Centre of Excellence in Satellite Applications
